Hillary Clinton

I rather enjoyed most of Hillary Clinton's speech at the Democratic Convention Tuesday evening... at least up until about the last 30 seconds of it. Then it suddenly sounded for a brief moment like she was saying that you had to have religious faith to experience the American dream, or something equally pathetic. It was kinda like a splash of cold water.

The sad thing of it is, it was impressive considering the political climate that it took that long to descend into religious blather. I expect that it won't take Barack Obama that long.

I miss the days when people could talk about their religious faith without suggesting that those without it were somehow missing something. Or am I imagining that we ever had those days?
