Condoms are not the answer to the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Africa, Pope Benedict said Tuesday while on his way to the continent for a seven-day visit.
Name me one person that says that condoms are the answer. There is no one answer, but condoms will help control the spread of the disease whether he likes it or not. And the fewer people that get sick, the better. And it's not reasonable to expect the people as benighted by superstitions as, unfortunately, most of Africa is, to "just say no" and quit having sex altogether. Once the men get sick, they run around raping young girls thinking, in their uneducated way, that it will cure them. The problem is not just about AIDS. What about the girls? The Pope really needs to shut his trap. His acceptance of evolution doesn't impress me if he keeps saying shit like this.
